Third Sunday of Lent

Music Reflection – 3rd Sunday of Lent

As we journey deeper into this sacred season of Lent, our music today reminds us of both repentance and trust.

We began with “Lord, Who Throughout These Forty Days,” echoing Jesus’ time in the desert and inviting us to walk these forty days with prayer, fasting, and renewal.

At the Offertory, “O God, You Search Me” (Psalm 139) became our personal prayer — surrendering our hearts to the Lord who knows us completely and loves us still.

In Communion, “Come to Me and Drink” reminds us that Christ is the living water. Just as He spoke to the Samaritan woman, He speaks to us: whoever comes to Him will never thirst.

And as we go forth with “Take Up Your Cross,” we are called not only to reflect during Lent but to follow Christ faithfully, carrying our crosses with hope, trusting that the path of sacrifice leads to resurrection.

May our music draw us closer to the heart of Christ as we continue our Lenten journey.
