The Easter Vigil in the Holy Night

APRIL 4, 2026 - 7:00pm

Music Reflection for Holy Saturday - Breaking Bread Hymnal Book

On this most holy night, our music leads us from darkness into the radiant light of the Resurrection. The Exsultet proclaims Christ’s triumph, and after the final Old Testament reading, we rejoice as the Gloria returns, our bells and voices bursting forth in praise.

Each Psalm recalls God’s saving power...from creation to renewal... until the joyful Alleluia is sung again in victory. Through Water of Life, we remember our baptism, and in Veni, Creator Spiritus, we call upon the Spirit. As we offer Christ, Be Our Light, we pray to reflect His glory. Nourished by I Am the Bread of Life, we go forth rejoicing with Jesus Christ Is Risen TodayAlleluia!
