Music Reflection for The Easter Sunday (Mass during the Day) - Breaking Bread Hymnal Book
On this glorious Easter morning, our music resounds with joy and victory as we proclaim, “Jesus Christ is Risen Today!” The Resurrection is not just a memory, but a living reality, Christ has conquered sin and death, and we are invited to share in His new life.
The Psalm reminds us, “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad,” calling us to a deep and grateful celebration. In the ancient Sequence, we echo the Church’s timeless witness that the Risen Christ is our hope and salvation.
As we sing Alleluia once more, our hearts are lifted in triumph ... Christ, our Paschal Lamb, has been sacrificed, and now we feast with joy. Through the Water of Life, we are renewed in our baptism, cleansed and reborn in Him.
In humility, we offer ourselves with Christ, meek and humble of heart, and in Holy Communion, we proclaim, “Worthy is the Lamb,” who gave His life for us and now reigns in glory.
As we go forth singing “The Day of Resurrection,” may our lives become a living song of Easter faith -radiating hope, love, and the joy of the Risen Lord.
