Our New Director of Sacred Music

We have a new Director of Sacred Music coming to St. Anna's in June. His name is Kevin Faulkner and he has over 30 years experience in sacred music, both in the Archdiocese of Atlanta and elsewhere. As he prepares to relocate to the area, he sends us his greeting:

Greetings from the new Music Director

Hello to all at St. Anna’s,

My name is Kevin Faulkner and I will be your new Director of Sacred Music. I have been a Roman Catholic church musician for close to 35 years. I love teaching, learning new faces and sharing the incredible treasury of sacred music and liturgy that is part of the Catholic church. I love to work with amateur and professional singers but especially love to work with children. I am an organist, a choirmaster, teacher of singing and piano, translator of Latin and French, collector of old hymnals, both Catholic and Protestant and writer about the liturgy and sacred music. I am married to my wife Michele, who is French and a teacher of French and ESOL. Between the two of us we have 4 children who live in France and the US. Its worth noting that I lived for 17 years in Snellville so coming to St. Anna’s is a coming home to me. I love the area and am thrilled to be coming to serve the parish. In my spare time I cook, collect old fountain pens and I am restoring a 1979 BMW 320i. Let us pray for one another as we come to meet each other. I ask for the protection of our Blessed Mother to assist us all in this transition. I look forward to meeting you all soon.

The peace of the Lord be with you,

Kevin Faulkner
