Lay Carmelites

St. Anna's Lay Carmelites

“In the heart of the Church, my vocation is love.” – St. Therese of Lisieux

“What a great favor God does to those He places in the company of good people!” – St. Teresa of Avila

“I see God in the work of his hands and the marks of his love in every visible thing, and it sometimes happens that I am seized by a supreme joy which is above all other joys.” – Blessed Titus Brandsma

We are pilgrims following an ancient path. Those who are drawn by the Carmelite Tradition are often pilgrims to places unknown, trusting the testimony of others who have taken the same ancient path. (The Searching Heart – John Welch, O. Carm)

The Lay Carmelite Community is a spiritual way of life for those answering a special call from God to live their evangelical life under the direction of the Carmelite Order. St. Anna's Members meet on a regular basis and follow a rule of life and prayer. If you feel called to a deeper commitment of your Baptismal promises, feel free to visit the St. Anna's Lay Carmelite community the 3rd Sunday of the month from 1:30 pm – 3:45 pm in the Religious Education 8th grade Classroom (Room # – TBD).
