MASS INTENTIONS: Saturday 5:30pm for the repose of the soul Trudy Vaitekunas at the request of Mary Jane and Jeff Morgan. Sunday 8:30am for repose of the soul William David Gibbs at the request of his sister Mary Lynn Reinagel. Sunday 10:15am for the wisdom to decide how to move forward with our efforts to fund our new Church. Sunday 12pm for all the people, especially the sick, of St. Anna’s. ANOINTING OF THE SICK NEXT SATURDAY AFTER 5:30 MASS: currently celebrated for those who ask before serious surgery after regularly scheduled weekday Masses (M, T., W.).  We will be begin a schedule of offering the “Anointing of the Sick” (see: Epistle of James 5:13-15) on a rotating basis to those whose health is in danger.  Starting next weekend, September 4th, this Sacrament will be available for those whose feel their health is in serious danger after the Sat 5:30 pm Mass, in October after the Sunday 8:30 am Mass, in November after the 10:15 am Mass, etc.

 

SCHOOL OF RELIGION NEWS

 

ATTENTION PARENTS OF CHILDREN ENTERING GRADE 1.  First grade religious education is required before a child can enter the 2nd grade sacramental preparation year.  Parents, please be sure to register your 1st grader for School of Religion classes this year.

 

REGISTRATION FORMS FOR SCHOOL OF RELIGION ARE DUE TODAY.   Registration forms may be dropped off in the basket at the back of the church.  It is important that you register your child(ren) for School of Religion classes so that plans may be finalized as to where each class will be meeting this year.  Thank you.

 

Classes begin on Sunday, September 19th.

 

YOUTH MINISTRY NEWS

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP KICK OFF is Wednesday, September 8th in the Parish Hall.  This is for all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students and their parents.  We’ll have dinner together, icebreaker games and door prizes!!   Please come and help us GROW OUR MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP!

 

UPCOMING HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP EVENTS:  *WYN (Wednesday Youth Night) is Wednesday, September 8th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

*Camping at Hard Labor Creek State Park is Fri., Sept. 10th to Sun., Sept. 12th.  Reservations for the camping trip are due by Wednesday, September 1st.

*Lock In in the Parish Hall is Saturday, October 9th from 5:30 Saturday to 8:00 a.m. on Sunday.

 

The flowers on the altar are placed by Ed & Mary Lynn Reinagel in loving memory of Mary Lynn's brother, William David Gibbs, who was born to eternal life 8/28/2009.  Revelations 21 vs.4    He will wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain. All of that has gone forever

RCIA CATHOLIC ANSWER BIBLE SESSIONS will be on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays in the Parish Hall at 7:15PM. We encourage folks to bring friends.  If you have one be sure to bring your Catholic Answer Bible with you!

 

 

 

Nursery Needed??? - Place your name and Mass time needed on the sign-up sheet at the Nursery.  The Nursery will be offered at each Sunday morning Mass,  provided there are enough adult/parent volunteers. Thank you.

2.  INTERNATIONAL POTLUCK in St. Anna’s Parish Hall, Saturday, September 18th after the 5:30PM Mass… which will be celebrated by FATHER THANG PHAM! (I have asked him to preach; he declined; I’ll ask again!)

3. PARISH PICNIC to be held on our new property at  SE corner of Criswell Road and Monroe-Jersey Road on 10-10-10 (October 10th!).  Ron Hein, former parish council chairperson, is working with the county to permit and then build a pole barn on the property; hopefully to be ready for our use during this year’s picnic and then for a regularly scheduled periodic outdoor Mass (our land once used for regularly scheduled worship is tax-exempt)
